Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor (6 months Fixed Term Contract)

Responsibilities and Duties :

This role is responsible for leading and supporting all aspects of the business in its adoption and conformance to all health, safety and environmental legislative and accreditations requirements together with adherence to policies and procedures.

– Plan, organize, control and coordinate the development and implementation of the Group (Elev8 & Cinderella) environmental management system in compliance with environmental legislation, EN ISO14001 and relevant industries/customers codes of practice
– Establish, manage and monitor the standards, processes, communications, management systems in an effective and efficient manner
– Liaise with regulatory bodies, customers and industry associations and ensure that all key performance are achieved and reported when necessary
– Deputise for the health and safety manager when necessary
– Identify potential hazards and risks created by new working environment, new equipment, new substance or new working method
– Assist the managers in developing safe bespoke solutions to meet customers’ needs
– Set personal example by observing all safety requirements / procedures / policies (including customers)
– Auditing, analysis and collating health, safety and environmental performance data and report to health and safety manager
– The health safety and environmental adviser is authorised to stop any dangerous or illegal practices and any plant or equipment where in his/her opinion there is potential risk to personnel, the public, the environment, premises or equipment.
– Participate in safety inspections and audits according to timetables agreed with the health and safety manager
– Ensure that through risk assessment and job safety analysis based approach that all health and safety issues are eliminated or reduced to an acceptable level
– Develop, implement and monitor environmental strategies, policies and programs that promote continual improvement
– Compile and return incidents and near misses’ statistics (health, safety and environmental) to the health and safety manager
– Establish, manage and monitor that all activities are delivered following high health, safety and environmental standards
– Ensure that there is suitable emergency procedures and equipment in place to deal with emergencies such as fires and spillage.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

– Excellent written skills and interpersonal skills and the ability to challenge constructively
– Excellent team working and the ability to work independently using own initiative
– A relevant professional qualification (minimum NEBOSH Certificate in Environmental Management or IEMA Environmental Certificate and NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or Construction Health and Safety)
– The ability to plan, prioritise and organise own workload
– Extensive knowledge of effective health, safety and environmental management strategies and best practice
– Detailed knowledge of current health, safety and environmental legislation and its application


– 2-3 years’ experience in environmental role within construction and/or facilities management environment
– Detailed understanding and proven capability in environmental legislation and ISO14001
– Experience of communicating effectively verbally and in writing to senior managers and writing reports
– Evidence of continual professional and personal development

Window Cleaner's

A full UK driving licence is essential for this position.

Cinderella Support Services are currently recruiting Window Cleaners across the UK. We are a Sheffield based company but are looking for Experienced Window Cleaners in all locations due to growth of the business.

• To safely clean our customers windows using commercial window cleaning methods.
• To drive within approximately 100 mile radius of the area.
• The role involves team working and working outside.
• This role is subject to a satisfactory enhanced criminal records check.
• Must hold a full driving license valid for use in the UK
• Experience of commercial or domestic window cleaning
• Able to work safely and put the safety of yourself and others first at all times
• Able to communicate with customers in a professional manner
• Able to work as part of a diverse team
• Must be eligible to work in the UK


• Health and safety training (for example CSCS card)
• IPAF, PASMA or other certification to use access equipment
• Class 1 or Class 2 Driving License

Tuesday 5:30am -9:30am
Thursday 5:30am – 9:30am

Job role
• To clean office space & communal areas which involves the following:
• Wiping sills, ledges, skirting boards, removing cobwebs, empty bins.
• Polish desks, wipe tables, chairs & office furniture.
• Vacuum carpeted & hard floor areas, mop hard floors.
• Kitchen areas: as above plus clean inside of fridge and microwave
• Toilets: as above plus clean toilet bowls & sinks
• Shower areas: as above
• Report any damage you find or cause

Essential skills / qualifications
• Able to work safely and put the safety of yourself first at all times
• Able to communicate with customers in a professional manner when necessary
• Able to work alone
• H&S knowledge and understanding
• Must be eligible to work in the UK
• Cleaning experience

Desirable skills / qualifications
• Previous experience of factory or industrial cleaning would be an advantage but not necessary as training will be given
