Accounts Assistant

Accounts Assistants duties and responsibilities will be:

• Managing sales and purchases ledgers with high levels of accuracy
• Raising high levels of sales invoices – obtaining invoicing details from various sources
• Invoice query resolution
• Maintaining and updating pricing/work schedules
• Credit control
• Ensuring all credit terms are maintained
• Issuing customer statements
• Producing aged debt reports
• Producing payment runs and processing payments once approved
• Daily bank reconciliation
• Month end reconciliations
• Supporting Company accountant with weekly / monthly reporting

Requirements

The experienced Accounts Assistant will have:

• 1 years+ experience working within a high volume invoicing environment
• 1 years+ experience in credit control
• Be able to use their own initiative and pro active
• Be able to work independently as well as in a team
• Be organised and have the ability to manage deadlines
• Be detailed and thorough – excellent attention to detail – accuracy is key
• Experience working within a fast paced environment and able to work under pressure
• A good knowledge of Sage 50 accounts
• Excellent IT skills
• Good command of written English
• Analytical ability
• A methodical approach and problem solving skills

Cleaning Manager

Operational Responsibilities

  • To manage the day to day operations for the Cleaning Division
  • To be responsible for the monitoring of your teams work to ensure the quality of work meets Cinderella standards and specification.
  • To assist the scheduler where required with planning of works
  • To ensure that work is completed to schedule and specification
  • To ensure your team is working effectively and productively, reviewing performance in conjunction with the Operations Manager.
  • Work alongside the Quality Assessor to create a schedule for Quality Control Checks, and ensure that they are done to schedule.
  • To conduct Quality Audits
  • To ensure that static sites and mobile employees are managing their own stock levels of products and ensuring that equipment is in working order, signing off on orders to an agreed budget.

People Responsibilities

  • To recognise vacancies in the Cleaning department and give authorisation to recruit (where applicable) and play a primary role in the cost effective planning, recruiting, inducting and training of new staff.
  • To deliver the correct relevant induction and practical training to all employees to ensure they have the skills to do their jobs effectively and safely.
  • To ensure that training records are kept up to date and signed off.
  • To train, supervise and develop members of your teams, ensuring their training records are up to date.
  • To conduct formal employee reviews for your department every twelve months and record these on the appraisal form. (employees under 12 months are to have a review every 3 months, based on 3,6,9 and 12 months)
  • To update the HR system of any sickness, lateness, absence that is reported to you or you are made aware of.
  • To manage any holiday requests for your department
  • To use improvement notices and the disciplinary procedure for your team when required.
  • To attend monthly team meetings with the Operations Manager and your team.

Safety

  • To check that employees are working safely, and to action safety issues that arise.
  • To follow the company safety rules, and the safety rules provided by the customer on whose site you are working, and to supervise your team and ensure that they are following safety rules and working safely.
  • To abide by and enforce the company health and safety policy.
  • To follow safe working instructions (for example method statements)
  • To write and review risk assessments and method statements for Contract Cleaning with support as required from the health and safety manager / General Manager.
  • To conduct at least 1 day per month completing safety audits of cleaning teams working on sites

Equipment

  • To ensure all equipment is in good working order and your team has the necessary equipment required.
  • To ensure that any defect equipment is repaired promptly to minimise downtime.
  • To ensure that machine maintenance and PAT tests are conducted to schedule and the relevant paperwork is completed and filed.
  • To ensure that all vehicles used by you and your team are serviced at their recommended levels and records are kept.
  • To ensure that van checks are done on a weekly basis
  • To ensure that van audits are completed by yourself on a monthly basis

 Customers & Quality

  • Ensure that new contracts are implemented smoothly and effectively, with support from the operations manager / admin.
  • Maintain ongoing communications with customers ensuring high levels of customer service are provided.
  • To report any customer complaints that you receive directly from the customer, and to follow the customer complaint procedure to resolve them in a cost effective manner.
  • To build, maintain and develop good customer relationships.

Requirements

Skills & Experience Required

  • Experience of people management in a multi-site operation, and particularly experience of managing large teams of remotely based people who are not directly supervised.
  • Ability to form positive / productive relationships with people at all levels of the business and with customers.
  • Ideally operations experience in the cleaning industry, if not operations experience in a similar “manual labour” industry
  • Ability to plan their own time, and motivate themselves
  • Ability to multi-task and willingness to have a go at any job in a flat structured organisation.
  • Skilled at recruiting and developing people.
  • A provider of motivation and inspiration to your team, leading to productive business results.
  • Ability to plan resources and manage costs
  • Computer literate
  • Have an attention to details
  • Be a team player
  • Driving licence essential
  • Willing to work irregular hours when required (early mornings, occasional weekends)
  • Experience and knowledge of Health and Safety, would be an advantage

General Maintenance Operative

Pay £13.50 per hour

Start date: ASAP

Location Sheffield – mobile position working around the UK

Hours Monday – Friday 48 hours per week plus Overtime and Weekends

Job role

As a general maintenance operative you will cover a wide variety of tasks depending on work flow These range from:

• Minor brickworks
• Gutter repairs/clearing
• Paving
• Door repairs
• Roof Leak investigation and repairs
• Window boarding
• Minor Painting and decorating works
• Fire proofing riser cupboards
• Groundworks
• You will be responsible for planning upcoming works, arranging and acquiring all necessary materials/equipment required for works and liaising with scheduler for effective route planning depending on work flow.

Essential skills / qualifications

• Working at height will be required within this role
• To work within other divisions occasionally, work permitting.
• Planning and coordinating work

Desirable skills / qualifications

• Experience of using and creating RAMs

• Vacuum carpeted & hard floor areas, mop hard floors.
• Kitchen areas: as above plus clean inside of fridge and microwave
• Toilets: as above plus clean toilet bowls & sinks
• Shower areas: as above
• Report any damage you find or cause
