HR Manager

Human Resources Manager, Sheffield
Permanent, full time 40 hours per week

We are looking for an exceptionally talented HR Manager to join our growing operation in Attercliffe, Sheffield. Supporting the management teams in this stand-alone HR role, providing hands on HR expertise to assist the development and growth of two organisations.

Who makes a great HR Manager?
We’re looking for a highly competent and credible HR manager with a strong generalist background, someone who feels confident dealing with, and supporting, employees and management at all levels driving through the HR agenda. As the HR Manager you will be responsible for the operational and strategic HR direction for the organisation and will be expected to challenge stakeholders at all levels to ensure an effective service to the business.

The role requires you to have the ability to work in an ever-changing fast paced environment with strong written and verbal communication skills. You will need to be highly motivated and passionate with robust ER and employment law knowledge as you will be the go-to person. This is not a development role, we require someone with confidence and credibility to be a trusted advisor. We’re looking for someone who has a real creative edge, someone who can develop strategies around recruitment, selection and talent management.

You’ll be working …

For two Managing Directors across two business units, Cinderella Cleaning Contractors and Elev8 Access Platforms who together employee over 130 people. Based at our offices in Attercliffe, you will be required to travel up to 20% of your time supporting our satellite teams across the UK and will therefore require a full driving license. You will also need to be CIPD qualified of hold a similar qualification.

Cinderella Cleaning Contractors was founded in 1993 and we are proud to say that we are now one of the largest window cleaning operations in the UK, employing over 100 staff. Offering our customers a complete suite of cleaning maintenance services from general contract cleaning such as builder cleans, window cleaning that includes high access work, carpet cleaning together with more specialist cleaning services such as marble, stone and wood floor finish and restoration, jet washing and medical cleans.

Cleaner

We are recruiting for 2 Cleaners in the Manchester area.

Location: Astley Building Manchester M1 2EG
Contracted Hours: 18 hours per week
Days: Monday – Wednesday or Thursday – Saturday
Working hours: 6am – 12pm
Rate of Pay: £7.83 per hour

• To clean communal areas which involves the following:
• Wiping sills, ledges, skirting boards, removing cobwebs, empty bins.
• Vacuum carpeted & hard floor areas, mop hard floors.
• Report and damage you find or cause to the customer’s premises
• Able to work safely and put the safety of yourself first at all times
• Able to communicate with customers in a professional manner when necessary
• Be a responsible key holder
• Able to work alone
• Must be eligible to work in the UK
• Previous experience of cleaning an advantage

Service Resource Scheduler

– Organise and be accountable for planning across multi-functional field activity services efficiently and productively.
– Report and track weekly progress of planned and completed work.
– Assist supervisors & manages in ensuring resources are available to effectively manage all expected trends of activity and meet all targets.
– Prepare periodic reports and statistics.
– Ensure all agreed client and internal KPIs are met or exceeded.
– Build strong relations with both internal and external to the department contacts.
– Participate in and promote the internal feedback process to actively seek and offer feedback to achieve continues improvement.

Requirements

– Have demonstrable experience in successful operations’ scheduling, ideally within a busy service environment.
– Possess basic numeracy skills, to GCSE standard or equivalent
– Computer literacy and advanced excel tools
– Excellent in-depth knowledge of workforce management forecasting and scheduling processes
– Strong focus on data quality and accuracy
– Excellent organisational and time management skills
– Strong focus on data quality and accuracy associated with report building, development and production.
– Must be able to communicate professionally and effectively, both verbally and in writing, within all levels of the business and to external parties such as the client and their customers.
– 2 years resource planning or similar scheduling.
– A good understanding of H&S.
– A very good logistical understanding of the UK.

Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor (6 months Fixed Term Contract)

Responsibilities and Duties :

This role is responsible for leading and supporting all aspects of the business in its adoption and conformance to all health, safety and environmental legislative and accreditations requirements together with adherence to policies and procedures.

– Plan, organize, control and coordinate the development and implementation of the Group (Elev8 & Cinderella) environmental management system in compliance with environmental legislation, EN ISO14001 and relevant industries/customers codes of practice
– Establish, manage and monitor the standards, processes, communications, management systems in an effective and efficient manner
– Liaise with regulatory bodies, customers and industry associations and ensure that all key performance are achieved and reported when necessary
– Deputise for the health and safety manager when necessary
– Identify potential hazards and risks created by new working environment, new equipment, new substance or new working method
– Assist the managers in developing safe bespoke solutions to meet customers’ needs
– Set personal example by observing all safety requirements / procedures / policies (including customers)
– Auditing, analysis and collating health, safety and environmental performance data and report to health and safety manager
– The health safety and environmental adviser is authorised to stop any dangerous or illegal practices and any plant or equipment where in his/her opinion there is potential risk to personnel, the public, the environment, premises or equipment.
– Participate in safety inspections and audits according to timetables agreed with the health and safety manager
– Ensure that through risk assessment and job safety analysis based approach that all health and safety issues are eliminated or reduced to an acceptable level
– Develop, implement and monitor environmental strategies, policies and programs that promote continual improvement
– Compile and return incidents and near misses’ statistics (health, safety and environmental) to the health and safety manager
– Establish, manage and monitor that all activities are delivered following high health, safety and environmental standards
– Ensure that there is suitable emergency procedures and equipment in place to deal with emergencies such as fires and spillage.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

– Excellent written skills and interpersonal skills and the ability to challenge constructively
– Excellent team working and the ability to work independently using own initiative
– A relevant professional qualification (minimum NEBOSH Certificate in Environmental Management or IEMA Environmental Certificate and NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or Construction Health and Safety)
– The ability to plan, prioritise and organise own workload
– Extensive knowledge of effective health, safety and environmental management strategies and best practice
– Detailed knowledge of current health, safety and environmental legislation and its application

Experience

– 2-3 years’ experience in environmental role within construction and/or facilities management environment
– Detailed understanding and proven capability in environmental legislation and ISO14001
– Experience of communicating effectively verbally and in writing to senior managers and writing reports
– Evidence of continual professional and personal development

Window Cleaner's

A full UK driving licence is essential for this position.

Cinderella Support Services are currently recruiting Window Cleaners across the UK. We are a Sheffield based company but are looking for Experienced Window Cleaners in all locations due to growth of the business.

• To safely clean our customers windows using commercial window cleaning methods.
• To drive within approximately 100 mile radius of the area.
• The role involves team working and working outside.
• This role is subject to a satisfactory enhanced criminal records check.
• Must hold a full driving license valid for use in the UK
• Experience of commercial or domestic window cleaning
• Able to work safely and put the safety of yourself and others first at all times
• Able to communicate with customers in a professional manner
• Able to work as part of a diverse team
• Must be eligible to work in the UK

Requirements

• Health and safety training (for example CSCS card)
• IPAF, PASMA or other certification to use access equipment
• Class 1 or Class 2 Driving License
